Digital Imagery provides an easily accessible visual record of your core, core plugs, well cuttings and thin sections. Our imagery is superior in that all of it is digitized at either microscopic or near-microscopic resolution. It provides not only an easily accessible visual record of the sample, it also serves as a rich source of petrologic and petrophysical data. In short, our images are not just pictures; they are designed to do work. In all cases we supply the software needed to get that work done.
Virtual Layout Room
Our virtual layout room serves as your portal
to your core. As
the core is processed data and imagery are continuously uploaded to the
layout room. This allows you to track the progress of core processing
and allows you to access X-ray imagery (either CT or Fluoroscope) before
slabbing and core imaging begins.
TEN-EX™
TEN-EX™ is a qualitatively different method for imaging core that was designed to digitally archive the core, preserving it at 10x resolution, the resolution of the hand lens one would normally use in the core layout room. Core can be very fragile. Our goal with TEN-EX™ is to have every tube of your core imaged at 10x resolution within an hour of slabbing, preserving the fine-scale detail of the pristine surface of your core at the resolution you would normally use in the core layout room (but without the distortion of a hand lens). TEN-EX™ is delivered in digital format either through our web-based Virtual Layout Room™ or by DVD for use with our CoreView, our stand-alone desktop core description software.

HD Plugs™
Sidewall cores and core plugs are routinely photographed. Our HD Plugs™ imagery is designed to enhance our ability to analyze sidewall cores and core plugs. Our digital imagery is a cut above standard photography. Like HD Cuttings, HD Plugs imagery is digitized at 40-80x magnification and delivered in digital format along with our HD Microscope, a virtual microscope on your desktop.
HD Cuttings™
HD Cuttings™ imagery is designed to take advantage of the rich data source represented by cuttings. When imaged at 40 – 80x magnification it is possible to resolve microfossils….even fine silt. The imagery is delivered in digital format along with our HD Microscope, a virtual microscope on your desktop.
MicroPics™
Thin sections are an integral part of any reservoir evaluation program. The problem with thin sections has always been that they break, they get lost, and only one person can look at them at a time. MicroPics™ are virtual thin sections digitized at 40-1000x magnification. They are delivered in digital format and are delivered with MicroPet, a complete virtual petrographic microscope, for instant access from your.
