![]() MicroPics™ are virtual thin sections digitized at 40 – 1000x magnification. Each thin section is digitized at least twice: once under plane polarized white light, and again under cross-polarized light. Poorly made slides in which there is not a single focal plane that will keep the slide in focus, have multiple plane-polarized images at different focal depths, enabling the microscopist to focus up and down. All of the images are precisely indexed to one another, allowing for seamless viewing and analysis: MicroPet contains all of the tools to view any part of the slide at resolutions up to four times the actual resolution of the image. You can cross the polarizers, change the magnification, even focus up or down when required.
