New England Research, Inc.: Geomechanical Analysis

NER applies experimental data on rocks at all scales to provide physically based solutions to energy, geotechnical, and environmental problems. This data-driven approach emphasizes engineering through development and application of physical modeling.

NER performs high quality physical properties measurements (e.g., strength, velocity, permeability, electrical conductivity) at in situ conditions using the AutoLab test equipment. Petrophysical heterogeneity is quantified using the AutoScan test system, an advanced petrophysical core scanner which measures spatial variability of flow, electrical, and elastic properties at ambient conditions. These data support our analysis and are offered to clients as part of our core measurement services.
